Whether Google, Amazon, Facebook, or Twitter, Big Tech is now and forever a Big part of our lives. But we are one generation away from a digital future owned by Wall Street. Right now, banks and hedge funds are fighting for control Big Tech, so that they can drive it in a relentless pursuit of profits. We need to take our seat at the table before it's too late. Let's remind these companies who makes them so big in the first place.
What we're Doing
A lot of people have recognized that we are facing dangers from the mis-management of Big Tech, but the current "solutions" are unrealistic. We can't simply throw aside these companies and we definitely can't expect lawmakers to do anything. If we want to have a say in how these companies are run, we need to start acting like the wolves on Wall Street. We need to take the fight to one place it matters: the Board Room.
How it works
Whether its election tampering, data privacy, child advertising or obscene profiteering, we can make a difference if we join the fight. Activist investment is Wall Street's best kept secret. Much like our politicians, the directors of these companies are democratically elected. Yes, you heard that right. You can participate in the elections that choose the people who run these companies.
